1892-c. 1960: parts of the parish registers are blurred

For reasons of data protection, the Danish National Archives has chosen to blur the remark fields in the birth records of parish registers from 1892 onwards. You can apply for access to the blurred fields in a parish register.

1814-1892: duplicate parish registers in color and segmented

The digitizations were produced by Ancestry and have been 'segmented' by gender and church record type, with Deaths first and Marriages last.

Please note that written permission from Ancestry is required if you wish to download more than just a few images. Contact the Danish National Archives at:

if you have questions regarding the use of this collection of color images.

Parish registers before 1814

The parish registers on Arkivalieronline cover the period before 1814. A new color digitization is underway and will be completed in 2026.
